Summer is fun at The Great Little School!
Our 2024 summer program runs for six weeks from June 24 through August 2nd. Session A: June 24th-July 5th, Session B: July 8th-19th, Session C: July 22nd-August 2nd.
Children ages 2-5 may be enrolled for any of the three 2-week sessions, either for Mornings, 9:00-12:00, Extended Session, 9:00-2:30, or Full Day (subject to availability) 9:00-5:30. Children bring their snacks and lunches from home, and come “pre-slathered” in sunscreen.
Summer Session follows a simplified, yet similar schedule to the school day, with a short indoor play period, followed by snack and a longer period of outdoor play. Each 2-week session has a theme, and the children and teachers create a weekly “museum” of objects brought from home, showcasing the theme. Indoor play activities include numerous sensory experiences such as cooking, sand and water play, art, as well as music and science. During the longer outdoor period, children play in nearby Riverside Park playgrounds, and farther away playgrounds such as Morningside and Dolphin Parks, often in sprinkler / water play.
SESSION FEES:
9-12: $880 per session
9-2:30: $1135 per session
9-5:30: $1470 per session
Families who sign up for all three sessions receive a 5% discount.
For children not currently enrolled in the school, please contact the director to discuss your child’s eligibility. Then, please fill out this registration form and submit with the $55 registration fee.
