Parental involvement is vital to a child’s successful school experience. Parents and teachers work in partnership to that end. We encourage a close relationship and copious communication with the teachers. Parent Teacher conferences are held twice a year, however, we welcome communication in person or through zoom, phone call, or email any time a parent would like to discuss their child’s development.
We truly value the diverse experiences that our families bring to the culture of our school. As a small school, a close community is something we strive to create. We welcome families to share traditions, holidays, recipes, and talents in the classrooms. We also welcome families to share their musical, dance, or other talents during school events like our annual Spring Benefit. We look to families to participate in events such as fairs, fundraising events, and talks. This adds to the richness of our community. There are also many ways for parents to get involved through different committees or through the roles of class parents.
The Director holds evening “Tea and Talk” meetings where families can learn and communicate about different child development topics. There are also parent education opportunities through the form of workshops and talks.
Parenting is a journey, and we hope to create a community of parents and educators who can support the development of each individual child.
