Our 2017 camp program runs for six weeks from June 19 through July 28. Children may be enrolled for 1 to 6 weeks, either for Mornings, 9:00-12:30 or for Extended Day, 9:00-2:30. (Update: There is limited space remaining for 2017. Please contact the director to inquire.) Children bring their lunches from home, and come “pre-slathered” in sunscreen. Older 2s who have completed a year in the school may try one or two weeks of camp, M-W 9-12.
Summer camp follows a simplified, yet similar schedule to the school day, with a short indoor play period, followed by snack (provided by us), and a longer period of outdoor play. Each week has a theme, and the children and teachers create a weekly “museum” of objects brought from home, showcasing the theme. Indoor play activities include numerous sensory experiences such as cooking, sand and water play, art, as well as music and science. We have a weekly music and dance session with an Orff teacher. During the longer outdoor period, children play in the sprinklers, in sand boxes, exploring nearby Riverside Park playgrounds, and farther away playgrounds such as Morningside and Dolphin Parks.
You may sign your child up for any (or all) of the six weeks. Choose either morning session or extended day.
Morning (9-12:30): $375 (July 4th week: $300) Extended Day (9-2:30): $450 (July 4th week: $360)
For children not currently enrolled in the school, please contact the director to discuss your child’s eligibility. Then download a registration form and submit with the $45 registration fee. We’ll make arrangements for you to visit our program and to send you a summer camp contract. Information about our program can be found here.
