Broadway Presbyterian Church Nursery School provides a warm, friendly, experience-rich environment for up to 20 children ages 2.9 to 4.9 years old. Children of every race, religion, ethnic and economic background are welcomed. We value the richness and diversity of our

We are a rare NYC preschool that focuses on the warmth of our small community and the joyful, investigative learning of the children. In a classroom environment that supports children’s autonomy, children are allowed to blossom by following their interests and making choices. The structure of our routines allows them freedom to grow and develop at their own pace. What excites children and awakens their curiosity inspires the curriculum; it evolves as the children do. Following this emergent curriculum, areas of study have included beans and seeds, babies, plant life cycles, rocks, and families, to name a few. Children have also learned about the working lives of the adults in their lives, family recipes and many other cultural explorations. Each theme gives rise to investigation and expression through art, music, scientific inquiry, numeracy, books, play and performance. Music, art, cooking, drama, and yoga are offered in small and large group experiences.
